Description
Elektrim Motors, a manufacturer of high-performance industrial AC electric motors, is seeking a Senior Business Development Strategist to accelerate growth in key industrial markets across North America.
We are looking for a proven Sales Hunter who thrives on turning challenges into opportunities and ideas into results. Someone who sees beyond the obvious, uncovering potential in targeted and underserved markets, and crafting value driven solutions in collaboration with customers and our engineers. This is not a maintenance role. It is an opportunity to shape growth from the ground up while expanding Elektrim’s reach by solving customer problems and uncovering untapped opportunities that move industry forward.
Responsibilities
Drive Growth – Hunt for OEM opportunities in underserved markets, using research, networking, and strategic outreach to open doors.
Lead with Insight – Understand each customer’s processes, challenges, and goals to uncover known and unknown opportunity.
Create Value Add Solutions – Collaborate with customers and our engineering team to design motor solutions that improve performance, reliability, and ROI.
Build and Advance Relationships – Forge meaningful connections with OEM engineers, purchasing teams, and executives that develop into long term partnerships.
Own the Sales Process – Guide opportunities from discovery through close, ensuring every engagement delivers measurable value.
Travel with Purpose – Attend customer visits, trade shows, and industry events as projects dictate (<20% travel), focusing only on high-value engagements.
Requirements
7 to 10 years of industrial sales experience with electric AC motors or related equipment such as pumps, fans, conveyors, etc.
A strong hunter mindset with a record of opening new accounts and driving revenue growth.
Proven prospecting and closing skills combined with the ability to build long term relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in technical discussions.
Mechanical curiosity and a solutions oriented approach to solving customer challenges.
Highly organized, self directed, and disciplined in managing projects and CRM tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
